AION celebrates first UK customer handover

London, 19 June 2026 – AION is living up to its commitment to ‘Effortless Electrification’ by handing over the keys to the UK’s first AION V owners, less than two weeks since AION Swansea (Bassetts) opened to the public.

Mr and Mrs King from Swansea collected the car from the dealership earlier this week.

The AION V is a C-segment battery electric vehicle with a distinctive exterior, a spacious and luxurious interior fully loaded with comfort and convenience features, class-leading range and rapid charging times.

Eight AION retail sites opened their door to customers on 1 June, from Newcastle to Newton Abbot, and the network will be 15-strong by the end of June. The brand aims to have 30 sites open by the end of 2026.

As well as a growing nationwide retail network, customers have access to AION’s UK-based concierge contact centre, where they will get straight through to a real person in real-time to discuss anything from how to order and the ownership proposition, to charging and aftersales provision.

AION will launch its second model, the UT family hatchback, by the end of 2026, and two further models in 2027. The brand plans to offer a family of seven electrified cars (BEVs, PHEVs and possibly also REEVs) by 2030.
